How Wellcore Works

What happens during my consultation with a Wellcore clinician?

Your Wellcore clinician will discuss your medical history, goals, blood work, current symptoms and make a determination on whether or not our hormone optimization program is a good fit for you.

What happens after my consultation with a Wellcore clinician?

If medications are ordered, you will receive an email with a link to pay for the 2-3 month supply of medication. Be sure to check your spam folder. Once you submit your payment, the prescriptions are released to the pharmacy. Medication should arrive to you within 7-10 business days.

Will Wellcore function as my primary care physician (PCP)?

No, you should still have a primary care physician to address any acute issues or concerns. We will alert you if we believe you need to follow up with your PCP for any abnormalities that we see in your blood work or history that may require further investigation.

What comes in my Wellcore Hormone Optimization box?

3 months supply of the medication that was ordered by your clinician which could be testosterone cream, estradiol capsules, or progesterone capsules.

How often do I need to meet with a clinician or provide blood samples for testing?

You will receive Wellcore’s practically painless at-home blood collection device about 45 days after your payment has been processed. Please draw your blood sample and send it back about 8 weeks after starting your most recent supply of medication.

After your blood sample has been analyzed by our lab, you will receive an email to schedule a video consultation to review your lab results and refill your medication. It is important that you complete this follow-up process in a timely manner to avoid any delays in refilling your medication.

What are some of the benefits of Wellcore’s Hormone Optimization Program for women?

Improvements in sleep, hot flashes, night sweats, vaginal dryness, wrinkles, mood, strength, muscle mass, fat loss, bone density, sex drive, and sexual function. Studies demonstrate a reduced risk of heart disease (a woman is 10x more likely to die from heart disease than breast cancer), osteoporosis, Alzheimer’s disease, urinary tract infections, macular degeneration, colon cancer, breast cancer, and uterine cancer.

Hormone optimization is not a magic elixir. The more you improve sleep, nutrition, and exercise while on a hormone optimization program, the better your results and overall risk of developing chronic diseases in the future will be. Results may vary between individuals.

Does Wellcore use synthetic or bioidentical hormones?

All prescription hormone medications used today are synthetically created in a lab. Our medications are synthetic in that they are created in a lab but they are also bioidentical meaning their chemical structure is the same as the hormones naturally produced in your body which is the most important distinction.

Why do I keep hearing that hormone replacement therapy causes cancer?

This information comes from the results of the Women’s Health Initiative study in 1992, the largest and most expensive clinical trial in the US to date. The Women’s HealthInitiative (WHI), began researching postmenopausal women taking hormone replacement therapy (HRT) using NON-bioidentical estrogen and progesterone. In 2002, researchers claimed to have found an increased risk of breast cancer, heart disease, and blood clots which quickly made national headlines.

This was the fear producing catalyst that created a decade of uncertainty and doubt around safety of female HRT. It is now widely accepted that the WHI trial was littered with gross data manipulation, poor study design, and unconscionable investigator bias.

Since 2002, clinical studies have repeatedly shown that bioidentical female hormones such as estradiol and progesterone, when used in the correct dosages and forms, prevent debilitating menopausal symptoms as well as heart disease, osteoporosis, and certain cancers.

Will Wellcore’s Hormone Optimization Program increase my risk of heart disease, cancer, or blood clots?

Because Wellcore uses only bioidentical hormones, the most recent high quality studies demonstrate a reduction in the risk of heart disease (a woman is 10x more likely to die from heart disease than breast cancer), colon cancer, breast cancer, and uterine cancer. There are no high quality studies that demonstrate an increased risk of blood clots with the medications that we use.

Will Wellcore’s Hormone Optimization Program cause my hair to fall out?

Increasing testosterone levels also increases a hormone called DHT. In those that are genetically predisposed, this can cause or worsen hair loss on the scalp. If you have or have had hair loss on the scalp, we have medication that can help with this.

Will Wellcore’s Hormone Optimization Therapy cause acne?

Increasing testosterone levels will increase oil production in the skin. For some, this can create or worsen acne on the face, chest, back, or shoulders. If this occurs, we have medication that can help with this.

Pricing

How much does this service cost?

Wellcore’s Hormone Optimization Program for women is $225 per month and is billed monthly. This includes a 3-month supply of all hormone-related medications (estradiol, progesterone, testosterone), follow-up labs, follow-up clinician consultation, and unlimited access to your Wellcore Client Success Team via text and email. Add-on medications for hair loss, skin care, thyroid, fluid retention/swelling are billed separately.

How much do the hair loss, acne, and fluid retention medications cost?

Spironolactone (acne, hair loss), first 90 day supply: $90; thereafter: $45
Acne Cream, 90 day supply: $40
Hydrochlorothiazide (fluid retention/swelling), 30 day supply: $20
Finasteride/Minoxidil Hair Regrowth Solution, 60-90 day supply: $55
Minoxidil/Melatonin/Latanoprost Hair Regrowth Solution, 60-90 day supply: $46

Customer Service

Can I return my order for a refund?

Certain product orders, such as the Wellcore Assessment Kit, may be eligible to be cancelled if the product has not yet shipped. Such product eligibility is at the sole discretion of the Company. If an eligible product is cancelled before shipment, you will receive a full refund for the product. Because our products contain medical equipment, we are not able to accept cancellations or returns on products that have been shipped. To cancel your order, you must email customer support at support@teamwellcore.com with your order number before the eligible product has shipped. All returns and cancellations are subject to our verification process and to applicable laws. We reserve the right to limit, or refuse returns or cancellations, including if the return is a potential health or safety risk, violates or abuses the return policy, or involves any fraudulent activity. We reserve the right to modify our return policy at any time without prior notice.
